Overview
CrystalView CAT5 Rack is perfect for any application to extend several KVM stations with VGA video. Supporting standard twisted pair CAT5 cable, the unit allows you to position 6 or 12 computers up to 1,000 feet away from KVM user stations. Unlike many extenders, the unit comes in a chassis already fitted with mounting brackets, making it easy to install on a rack and reduce clutter. Extending KVM stations away from CPUs carries a variety of benefits in different situations: computers and users can avoid hazardous and dangerous environments, risk of theft can be mitigated, noise and heat in the office area can be reduced, and valuable space can be saved.

The transmitter rack is universal and PS/2 or USB keyboard and mouse is chosen from the type of CPU cable selected. All remote units can be ordered with PS/2, many are available with USB. Consult the part number listing for details. The USB units support only keyboard and mouse and not any other peripherals. Audio and serial is also available as an option. You can't mix and match audio/serial and non-audio/serial units. Another option is dual and quad-head video, which makes the receiver units more compact in multi-head applications. In this case the keyboard and mouse data at the transmitter is not used on the auxiliary video channels.
